A snapshot system based on cloud storage Log-Structured Block System
A snapshot system based on cloud storage Log-Structured Block System.In order to enhance fault-tolerance of cloud storage system in cloudcomputing environment, current snapshot technology and log–structuredfile-system mechanism are studied. A snapshot system based on HLBS(Hadoop Distributed File System based Log–Structured Blockstorage System) is designed and implemented. By this design, newsnapshots are added to HLBS, from which user data could be saved and recovered for cloud storage system HLBS.
HLBS is implemented upon Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) with the idea of Log–StructuredFile System (LFS) without changing the source code of HDFS. Snapshotsystem of HLBS could not only prevent data from missing but also help HLBS rollback and forward to any time of storage data. To improve the expandabilities, availabilities and fault-tolerance of HLBS, snapshotsystem is a good feature to be realized. At last, HLBS snapshot system is analyzed and compared with other snapshot technologies.
